Hey y’all, thank goodness you’re here! I’ve been anticipating you :)
I can only imagine you’re here because some of my photos sparked your interest or maybe we’ve already met and knew we’d hit it off if we worked together! And let’s be real, wedding planning starts years in advance, so if you’re a curious future bride, I’m happy you’re here too.
Who is Emily Schuchmann?
You may know me best as Emily Condra, but after getting married in April 2026, my last name officially changed. To keep things simple and recognizable for my couples, though, the business will remain Emily Condra Photo. I’m a newly married gal in a suburb of Charlotte who spends her days around the house, with friends, at Orange Theory, or if we’re being so honest probably cooking something new for my husband when he gets home from work. Really been loving this new wife life!
We met at church and I was crushing for about 5 months before I finally went up to him to make sure he knew I existed. Then I let him pursue me and about a year later we got married! He’s the best and I’m secretly hoping one day (hey husband when you read this) will get into photography so he can be my second shooter.
As a couple, we are deep lovers of travel and our American Airlines points. If we don’t have a flight or weekend trip booked we go a little stir crazy!
More than anything though, what I want you to know is that I’m the biggest fan of Jesus. I believe that the freedom we all desire is found in him and if you ever want to learn more or chat about your thoughts on faith, I would love to sit down and do just that (maybe over a iced latte, another thing I love!!)!
Before I went full time with photography, I worked at a church hosting events for about 3.5 years! During that season, I learned so much about timelines, hosting, and especially how to decrease stress during high-pressure days. Those skills have transitioned so seamlessly into my photography, and I truly believe they help me create a wedding experience that feels fun, organized, and stress-free for my couples.
So why photography?
It’s something that has grown with me through every season of life. From yearbook in high school, to high school seniors, to college seniors, and now to weddings, which are my absolute favorite.
Fall 2025 marked the moment I officially took the leap to become a full-time photographer, something I thank Jesus for daily because high school Emily only dreamed of this. And thankfully, I’ve come a long way since my first point-and-shoot camera.
My mission as a wedding photographer is to capture your love story in a way that is truly unique, reflecting the love Jesus has for us. As 1 Peter 1:15 says, “just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.” Holy meaning set apart, I strive to bring that same reverence and intentionality into every interaction, creating images that are distinct, meaningful, and deeply treasured.
My heart behind every image is simple. I want your photos to help you remember your wedding day, not feel like you had to perform for it, so you can be fully present and take in every moment of the legacy you are beginning.
